This has become a very popular plant recently and well-deservedly so. It is relatively easy to grow and pretty undemanding in terms of its requirements as long as the soil its in is well-drained. It is short lived perennial but it will self sow. Alternatively it is easy to grow from seed or to obtain from your local nursery. It is a fantastic plant for a number of planting schemes and adds lovely height and movement in a border. Because of its open structure it fits well with many other plants and can act as a semi-transparent veil.
My real love for this plant is largely because it is loved by bees and pollinators and brings a ‘hive’ of activity into a garden.
