The brief for this garden was wide open! The garden at the front of this house simply considered of some unloved lawn, an overgrown border with a variety of old shrubs and seedling and a large fence to keep the dogs in. After discussions with the owner, and hearing of her desire to get more involved in garden especially as her children were growing up and her interest in eating seasonally and organically, I decided to create this beautiful but productive Kitchen Garden.
The design utilised the space at the front of the house to create multiple options for growing fruit and vegetables, including a beautiful wooden greenhouse and a lovely seating area to rest a weary gardener’s bones or enjoy a glass of wine!
